GOAL: Develop
Alcan’s online ordering Web site for Promotional Products
for both English and French speaking employees.
CHALLENGE:
Provide a multiple language Web site that can accept
multiple currency.
ACTION: Cavanaugh’s
Information Technology Team developed one Web site (instead
of two separate ones) that provided Alcan employees a choice
of language when they first logged on to the Web site. The
site was developed to enable multiple other languages to be
added, allowing Alcan to offer this online Web site to employees
throughout the world. The Cavanaugh IT Team also added a Currency
Converter to accept the appropriate form of currency from
each customer placing an online order.
